If my idiot husband leaves me while pregnant can I get his rights taken away for abandonment?

I live in san antonio texas in case you want to look up how the law works here! I can't cuz I'm using my phone don't got a computer. My husband wants to leave me since he has to do everything for me. I'm pregnant worried about the baby and in pain most of the time. Days I get depressed I don't move from the bed. Anyway I'm 18 weeks so if he leaves now can I get his rights taken away if he tries to come back for our child?? He said for me not to look for him if he leaves cuz he aint gonna pay no child support but I know he would try to come back and take my child. He has a felony and doesn't care. He's even made threats that he would kill me for the baby. Should I seek and attorneys advice already? Pleas no rude comments!
