How long will my 9 month old be sick with bronchulitis! He is still SICK its been 9 days!?

It has been 9 days. It started off as RSV and bronchulitis, as determined by a chest x-ray. Then we did the nebulizer (breathing treatment) and his wheezing seems better. However, his cough is still there and his never ending runny nose!! and he STILL has a fever on an off. The fever worries me. We took him to the ER yesterday because he wouldnt stop screaming. turns out he had an ear infection in both ears! so now hes on some sulfizole drug instead of amoxicillan because he has dhiarhea with amoxicillan. So hes on antibiotics, but hes still coughing and congested! I'm getting tired of this. I'm sick too. and extremely worried for him. It seems like he will never get better. and my birthday is coming up soon. I just feel like its been a miserable month. Anyone else go through this? I need some comfort..
