Music video, guy goes to army....?

i'm looking for a tune since 10-12 years ago.The video was about two lovers and he decides to join the army but when he comes back the girl is dating someone else. I might be wrong but i think there is wizard with long white hair who controls time in the video as well. And is not "when september ends" or "whiskey - lullaby "...Please help me if you can!
