Should I still learn shorthand...and what type should I learn (Pitman, Gregg, Teeline)?

Teeline shorthand is still taught widely for those training to be a journalist. The most commonly used system now is Teeline as this is a very quick and easy to learn method. Being able to write in shorthand is a lifelong skill and one which many employers look for as it shows dedication and a willingness to learn new skills.
